Crunch is the second cover I’ve illustrated for Leslie Connor. It’s about an energy crisis where bicycles become the main form of transportation. This plain view book cover design was partly inspired by vintage bicycle poster art.

Waiting for Normal rereleases this week! This is a great story by Leslie Connor and it’s received many awards over the past couple years. It was an honor to illustrate the cover. The way I designed Addie on her swing is meant to subtlety communicate the movement of a clock’s pendulum.
