This plain view book cover design was partly inspired by vintage bicycle poster art.

One is the cover for Tad Williams and Deborah Beale’s first Dragons of Ordinary Farm book. The other is a piece created for Glenn Dakin’s upcoming Candle Man 2: The Society of Dread.   Spectrum 17 will be published in November.

The way I designed Addie on her swing is meant to subtlety communicate the movement of a clock’s pendulum.
